A research project on the community at the Seward Park Library on the Lower East Side. I attended two of their Adult public programming events—a book discussion on Poverty, by America by Matthew Desmond and an Intro to Dungeons and Dragons workshop hosted by @nycdicegoblins—to learn what it’s like to be part of this library’s community.
“I’m Beautiful”
Amovement theater piece devised by Abby Hricik and Sammy Janoff utilizing choreographer Mary Overlie’s nine “Viewpoints” and set to the hit 1998 song “I’m Beautiful” by Bette Midler.
OUR MESSAGE: “You can be living a glamorous life or a ‘boring’ life. Either way, you can be confident and happy.”
