ABBY HRICIK (she/her) is an actor, designer, and creative from Charleston, South Carolina. She is a senior studying at NYU Tisch, majoring in Drama at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and minoring in Media, Culture, and Communication.
With an extensive background in musical theater, Abby made her professional acting debut at the age of 12 in the Village Repertory’s productions of Grey Gardens (Lee) and Jennifer Haley’s The Nether (Iris). She attended Long Lake Camp for the Arts for six consecutive summers and has performed in over fifty stage productions. Her latest work was in December 2024 where she played Green/Willoughby/Gardener/Duchess of York in Richard II at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. In addition to acting, Abby has over 15 years of dance training in ballet, tap, and jazz and is a current dance company member with TAPFUSION.
Abby’s design and editorial work has been recognized as some of the best in the Southeast by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, SC Scholastic Press Association, and Quill & Scroll Awards. She currently interns at Accessories Council, assisting with Ac Magazine and NoMad Magazine publications. She served as Chief of Design of the Baedeker Travel Magazine (2024), Head Designer of the Future Fashion Group Zine for two editions (2022-2023), and published three, 200-page yearbooks with Wando High School’s nationally recognized Legend yearbook staff (2018-2021). Her most notable work of the “Eukaryotic Cell board game project” debuted in 2013 and was designed entirely on Microsoft Digital Image 2006.
This past summer, Abby wrote, starred in, and produced her first experimental short film In A Stitch while abroad in Madrid, Spain. She is an associate producer at Pinoy Cinematic Universe and is writer and actor in their upcoming social media comedy series, CostCutters. Additionally, Abby works as one of three Transfer Student Coordinators for NYU Welcome, serves as President of NYU's Tisch Tap Collective, and volunteers weekly with Literacy Partners, and being an Ambacebador for Guayakí Yerba Mate.
